So I like cutlery, I like tools, I like the feeling of doing something, even if what I'm doing is nothing.
I've always liked the way steel feels to use on various things, always carry with me my OKC RAT-1. Anyways... I was going to purchase a small camp axe for my dad because we both like axes and... well to be honest we like the little stone wheel we got and I intend to use it on something. I was looking at this Marble's Damascus steel small axe http://www.smkw.com/webapp/eCommerce/produ...Axe/MR000D.html and honestly I'm am liking what I see. I was wondering if any of you fine folks out there in 6gc land enjoy axes and such as I do or have any thoughts about the Marbles axe? -------------------- Brand new 6gc owner! (sort of 2011)

Fiskar makes some badass axes and splitters, they know their stuff.

They are beautiful and for all purposes superior, but I wanted an axe with a wood handle. I know that sounds obsurd and obsolete, considering all the things durable plastics can do now a days, but the feel of wood and steel just feels so right. It's funny because when I saw the name fiskar I was thinking about fisker, the now bankrupt car company and was like wahhhht? -------------------- Brand new 6gc owner! (sort of 2011)
