So I like cutlery, I like tools, I like the feeling of doing something, even if what I'm doing is nothing.

I've always liked the way steel feels to use on various things, always carry with me my OKC RAT-1.

Anyways... I was going to purchase a small camp axe for my dad because we both like axes and... well to be honest we like the little stone wheel we got and I intend to use it on something.

I was looking at this Marble's Damascus steel small axe http://www.smkw.com/webapp/eCommerce/produ...Axe/MR000D.html and honestly I'm am liking what I see.

I was wondering if any of you fine folks out there in 6gc land enjoy axes and such as I do or have any thoughts about the Marbles axe?

When you mistrike and the head breaks off, you'll wish it was a plastic handle. They also recoil differently when you mistrike. Try a good one, you'll love it.

Admittedly the best non wood axe/hatchet I've ever used was a coleman and a united cutlery tomahawk, which both felt different.

Maybe later in the year I'll pick up a fiskar and see what happens in my camping trips.
