just wondering what everyones thoughts are on creating a North American Club 6GC. obviously the idea of this would be to take the organization of the 6gc community up a notch, creating more sanctionized meets and events, as well as getting club gear made up, such as t-shirts hats decals and such. The other reason to do this is try to increase involvement in the community, and possably get paying vendors and club sponsors. possably a newsletter or other periodic articles would be sent out. its also a way to more personalize the site, put more of a face to the screenname and the car. the down side is there would be periodic fees or dues, maybe annually or bi-annually, of course they wouldnt be anything outragious. *note: the site would continue to be free, the only cost would be to join the club itself.
please give me an honest opinion. frankly theres no point in doing this if you were not going to attend the meets or utilize the sponsors, usually the sponsor discounts are fairly minimal, but the customer service and personalization of the buying experience is much better. IE: with the 6gc sideskirt group buy im doing right now, vis is kinda of playing sean off saying we'll get your order for you soon whenever he talks to them like they are in no rush to get our order for us, or they just dont have them in stock and are waiting for more to arrive. in general they really dont have much stock for the 6gc besides the zephyr and invader kits a few CF hoods and a few sets of those fenders. in contrast when sean went to place my order for my Border kit for my car, they said they would get on it right away. if 6gc owners were to purchase things on a more consistant basis from the same companies like vis or other manufacturers/vendors, they would be more inclined to carry a larger stock of 6gc parts so the turn around time on orders would be alot quicker. ive talked to coomer about it in the past, basically hes just very busy, and this is a very large job for us to do, and we really have no idea yet how it would be spearheaded and what direction we'd want to take with it, or who would be the organizers of something like this (please dont volenteer yet, were just tryin to get a feel for how much everyone would be willing to do this ![]() thanks guys! thats just kinda my thought on the whole thing. lemme know what you think. -------------------- ![]() Believer, you'll leave her, in leaving them all No but I don't buy it Like anything you do, as anyone you are Cause I'm... Im down, how bout a Las Vegas meet. i will be meeting with LatinKraze this weekend and LBCguy. I think vegas is a good meeting area for LA and other large surrounding cities. I would also suggest broadening the club like to maybe all 90's toyotas or only celicas(of all years) or something of the like because i honestly( i hate to say it) but first off there is not enough 6gc's to make it interesting if we put on a show or meet or whatever, second off people would get board really fast, i went to the supra show here and i am a diehard lover but it got old after like 2 hours... ANYWAY... just marinate on what i said and post back
