Has anyone took the gauges apart and scrapped the green "haze" off the back of the gauge faces? Switched to white LEDs and they still have a slight green tint. Also, what type of paint is everyone using to paint their gauge needles red?

I drilled the plexiglass under the black face to make more space, then used 3528 ebay red led strip, just removed them from the strip itself, but still kept them in a group of three.
