Well... haven"t had this happened in a while but the engine just came on. Celica still running fine.
Hope nothing major. I'm guessing the O2 sensor?? Anyone had this happened on your GT's? ('99 GT). |

Could be any sensor honestly but most likely your o2 sensor. Just run down to auto zone or advanced and they will run a test and tell you the issue. If it is your o2 sensor don't buy one from autozone... They'll try and give you bosch and its junk on imports.. Just order a denso o2 sensor online. Auto zone can get you denso but you'll pay 30$ more than what you would've off amazon. I just did this haha. first off you have a 99, which is ODBII. you need an ODBII scanner to get the code. without it you have no idea what caused the CEL. you could be wasting money on a sensor you dont need. Be like me and buy something for $2 or so and then ask as they're ringing it up, that way they're more obligated to do such and you don't feel like a jerk. ![]() pre ODBII cars you stick a paperclip and jumper Te and E1 in the diagnostic box. the CEL will flash the codes. -------------------- 2001 Celica GT-S Turbo
