Will the caldina map sensor for flawlessly with a 3rd gen 3s?
i know the gen 2 map sensors work, and i have one, but i have read that they mess up the fuel and timing maps. Also My boss has a gen 2 map sensor in his swap and he's been running rich since the swap was done, which is assuring me that the engine wont run 100% with 2 bar map sensors. can someone confirm that 2 bar maps are the problem? and can someone tell me if the 4th gen one will work and is it plug and play? One is on ebay for a very good price -------------------- |

Are we talking about the same thing? You're asking if a gen 4 caldina 3sgte map sensor will work with a gen 3 3sgte?
You also say you have a gen 2 3sgte map sensor??? The gen 2 uses a maf to control fuel... Toyota upgraded to a map based efi system starting with the gen 3. The only thing I can think of is a gen 2 map sensor being used for a stock boost gauge. This post has been edited by enderswift: Mar 20, 2015 - 9:01 AM -------------------- ![]() |
