I just installed 7gc seats. Changed out to the 6gc pan. Everything fits and looks GREAT! However the seatback is locked to one position. The lever moves a little, but the seatback does not move. I've tore it apart three times. When it is apart, the location on the frame where the seatback bolts onto does not move either, so it is not the new seatback itself. It has to be something obvious that I am missing. Any suggestions?

If you go to 7gc seats, here is a tip. Go vertical.

Put the seat together with the exception of one side of the seat back. Leave it unbolted. The crossbar is a pain to line up. Tip the seat on its side (bolts down). Move the seatback to the side enough to lower the crossbar down into the hole. You can peek on the other end under the back of the seat and see where the one end will fall to. Make note of the location of the groove where the crossbar will lock into. Turn the crossbar on the other end until it lowers onto the pin and locks into position. Let gravity do the work. You may need to reach in with your pinky finger to line up the crossbar with the pin. Once it locks into place, it will be in the correct position on the other side. Lift up a bit on the unbolted end and lower onto the pin. Bolt it up. Done.

I spent way too much time attempting to line it up horizontally and clumsily trying to bolt it up only to have it fall apart.

This may seem vague. When you do the switch, it will make sense.

Final pics later this week. A lot more comfortable and looks sportier.
