So I was talking to one of my buddies at my 1994 Toyota celica st and mentioned something about Frankenstein my motor with the gt version of my car.Is this possible and if so what would be the best set up

They're both economy engines. In my opinion the 7A is the more advanced of the two, it makes more power per liter than the 5S and revs more readily as well as having a great torque profile. The problem with both engines is breathing and revving, they don't do either very well which limits their power. The early 7A with adjustable timing takes nicely to some simple bolt ons and is shockingly full of pep.

Don't forget decently more efficient. The 7A was peppy for what it was though, certainly not the worst economy engine out there from the time.

Really you're better off swapping to a V6, BEAMS, or 3S-GTE.
