I take personal issue with my car being referred to as a "hatchback." A "hatchback" applies to CRXs and Civics with vertically positioned rear point of ingress/egress. A "hatchback" is synonymous with 1000 pound POS import.
Toyota calls my model a "liftback" because the rear cargo port is at a 45 degree angle. It is only used as a hatch for getting people in and out of the car when two people are going to be... laying in back with the seats down (and using the so-perfectly placed rear window to look at the heavens afterward). And perhaps once I have added a few horse under the hood, I might demand my car be referred to as domestics were a time ago, that is a "fastback." -------------------- ![]() |

Thats right....some of my favorite on this site are coupes (Coomer, gh0st_d0g, and some others come to mind) but others are hatches (Any GT-4 on here, and lots others that are well done). It's all about how you use what you got and make it look sexier than they already are. Besides, i dont think i would call a Silvia the evil "S" word just cuz it has a trunk...lol. ....Or an M3, or a skyline....maybe even an MR2, since that has a trunk.... -------------------- 3rd gen ST205 3SGTE - Alive and boosting. |
