I'm so excited to finally get to start my Celica project! I have a bone stock red, 95 GT convertible, (except the rims). I will be starting off by swapping it to a manual ( this is why I have the white parts car). I will be putting in all new brakes and suspension. Going drilled and slotted rotors for brakes and Tein lowering springs. After this is done, I will move on to doing a turbo build. Everything will be done by me, except I will be having it professionally dyno tuned.
I am going full on show car with this bad boy. Everything under the hood that cannot be made to look Shiney and new, will be replaced! Interior will be overhauled as well. I plan on doing the gt4 trd splitters for front and rear, with gt hatchback sides. I haven't picked out the exact paint color yet, but it will be a shade of burnt orange. I get to start tearing these cars apart tomorrow, and I can't wait!! It is definitely gona be one sweet ride when I'm all done. |

Post some pics How do I post pics? I'm so excited to finally get to start my Celica project! I have a bone stock red, 95 GT convertible, (except the rims). I'd be careful with dirlled and slotted rotors, as they are prone to cracking, and don't really add much performance from what I've read. Usually drilled OR slotted, but not both. Also, if you will be lowering, you'll need to change your struts and mounts sooner or later, just something to keep in mind. I'd personally do it all at once, speaking from experience. One last tip, the TRD front and rear splitters don't flow the greatest with the OEM skirts. I'd personally go TRD skirts with those splitters as well, but they're hard to come by for a good price, once you factor in shipping. Unless thats the look you like, then giver! Thanks for the info. I'm hoping the rotors will be ok since in will not be exposed to the elements at all. I will be replacing struts, ball joints and everything as well. And I do agree about the trd sides, but they are pricey, and I already have the other ones. Still not 100%. |
