Just got everything back together after doing the manual swap to my 95. Hooked up the battery and tried to fire it up.... no luck. Car cranks over just fine, but will not start. I did switch the ecu with the manual ecu out of a 99 gt. Don't know if that would have anything to do with it or not. It just plugged right in. Can't think of why it won't start. Anyone have any ideas????

Try the 95 ecu and it should still start. And richie is right, 99 models use a crank angle sensor, 95 do not, they run off the dizzy only. So if ur using a 99 ecu, it relies on the crank angle sensor for the engine to fire ignition, it wont spark without the sensor basically Switch the ecu back. Started right up!! So I'll be fine just leaving in my original ecu then? |

Awesome, glad you got it started that easily! ![]() -------------------- "Employ your time in improving yourself by other men's writings, so that you shall gain easily what others labored hard for." -Socrates.
