Hello 6gc.net! Well I have been having an issue with my celica for awhile now. A few months ago my celi had a head gasket issue. I had my mechanic fix the issue, the head looks brand new, she doesnt overheat, she runs perfectly! But i have noticed a few things wrong with the car since then. When I am stopped, there is a burnt oil smell that come into the cabin, even when im in re-circulation mode. When i turn on the AC button the smell kind of goes away, for a little bit. Also i have noticed a lot of oil on the driveway where i park her.

Now i figured it could have been that my mechanic didnt clean off the block and subframe after doing the head work, so i decided to clean up the engine bay. I covered all the electrical parts and sprayed the engine bay down with degreaser, let it do its thing, and then rinsed it off. Ive done this two times in the past two weeks. There is still oil being dropped on the driveway, and there is still a burnt oil smell. This hasnt really become an issue until recently, since i now drive my celica everyday to school, as opposed to driving maybe once a week because of summer. I have used a gallon of simple green degreaser in the engine bay, and i still cant figure this out. The smell is starting to make me angry, and the oil spots on the driveway....i hate oil spots. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix these issues?

If your oil level is good, maybe check if you're leaking transmission oil?
