Ok today was pulling out my passenger front strut and rebuilding with catridge type front assemblies from RocketScott (thanks guy!)
I thought I had propped the wheel hub nicely for while I broke down the old assembly and assembled the new one, but I apparently nudged the wheel hub when I was maneuvering the new assembly around the break-line and when the wheel hub leaned outward (away from the motor) it pulled the inner cv/axle spline out of the transmission. (I've read it may have never been properly installed or I might have a bad c-clip?) Eitherway, I know it's a rookie mistake so I'm just looking for some opinions for Celica vets before I moved forward. Good way to reinstall? Things I should check on? - Edited for clarification This post has been edited by 94yotaGT: Dec 9, 2015 - 10:51 PM |

The passenger side axle can slide freely in and out of the trans. It's secured by the carrier bearing. The driver side has the C clip that locks the axle in the trans. No worries, you have caused any damage to the car. It'll spill some gear oil but that's about it.
