so after all of that trouble in my other thread I have figured out 3 things:

1.) one or both of my stock amps are blown or for some reason unknown to me not sending out power signals
2.) My head units CD portion is messed up (kenwood kdc-217, been through 3 cars now about time it died)
3.) If you buy a new car do not get any kind of sound upgrade because it makes it a million times harder to go aftermarket!

So today I am going to walmart and picking up a new pioneer 4600mp (i think thats what its called) and just wiring my door 6.5 pioneer and the stock 6.5's in the back.

I have never wired a car like this before I have always used stock wiring but since I have no clue where the problem is with the stock wiring I have decided to go around it.

What gauge wire should I buy?

For the fronts I was thinking about wiring the wires under the steering wheel in the back then for the door through that little plastic wire tube and for the rear up and through the top plastic pods. for the passenger seat same thing except under the glove box.

anyone see any problems with this?

also what should I do for power, should I just splice into the ciggarette lighters power and I assume the one thats not positive on the lighter is negative and that would be my ground?

Thanks all for your help in hte other thread and now in this one smile.gif
