Well today I noticed my inner shaft seal is seeping as well as the rear main seal is seeping. I think it is time to replace the clutch as well.
1. Any how to or removing the manual transmission on 7AFE engine? 2. Should I replace with OEM or after market? 3. IF aftermarket which brand? Thanks in advance. Engine is 7AFE, Car is 1996 ST hatchback. This post has been edited by msk59: Dec 20, 2015 - 12:25 AM |

I don't know swissferdis experience but mine removed fairly easy, most I had to work around was some corrosion on the bolt covers. To give an answer to your question to smay, you would have to remove the flywheel to access the rear main seal. As far as the flywheel, recommended thing to do is resurface or replace it when you replace the clutch because it will be worn from the previous clutch. Also look into replacing the release bearing, just something to save you down the road.
