How in hell do I remove the spark plug tubes on my 1mzfe motor. they don't have threads on top like the 5s. I have tried heating them up and pulling them up and out with vise grips but they wont budge. any help would be appreciated.

I didn't see them on the Toyota parts diagram, usually if Toyota doesn't sell it then it's not meant to be taken apart.
 May be that they couldn't be removed, but you can't buy new ones. You could try blowing some heat down them with a heat gun for a while to see if that'll break the bond I guess. Why do you need to remove them to surface the head? -------------------- |
