Hello everyone!
I am brand new to this forum and I have a 1996 Toyota Celica ST Limited Edition. However, the gearbox feels stiff and while I am due for a transmission fluid change, I was wanting to get more of a shorter throw on the shifter, aswell. Are there any cheap short shifters out there or can I substitute a shifter with a shorter throw from a different model/car? Thanks and I am excited to be a part of this site. Such awesome cars. (: |

The 7th gen Celica short throw lever works very well on our cars. I've had mine for about 4 years with no issues - I think I paid $25-$30. Very cheap. Be sure to install the solid aluminum base bushings it comes with and get yourself some solid brass or spherical bushings (better) for the selector arms - very solid and smooth shifting.
