Hi guys, I figured there was no harm in making a build thread for my daily. I found this car 3 months ago, 6 hours south of my home town and just couldn't pass it up. The car was just too good to be true. No rust, low miles and in just beautiful condition, with all the comforts needed for a daily. The build will be very slow seeing this is just my daily, my main project is another vehicle. I have a goal of making the car appear as close to a true GT4 WRC as possible, I'm sure I will get some hate because of this but it won't bother me any. Seeing we never got them in the US I thought it would be a nice change, no plans on a 3sgt swap (yet). So let me bring you up too speed.
1994 Toyota Celica GT (US spec) 112k (when purchased) 5 speed 5fse Day I got her home: New app radio 4! And Tomei shift knob I took from my Evo End works gauge bezel with full blue LED interior lighting. Showing off the beautiful interior: JDM tail lights, tint, and a sk2 antenna were a must, the other beast sleeps in the garage: Scored a set of authentic 99 JDM WRC spoiler riser blocks, with the correct 3D grapihte badges: Couldn't stand the factory wheels any more: Suspension, I work for Airlift Performance so this is only temporary.. custom stuff will be coming soon:) Just as I'm installing the suspension, this arrived: Installed, looking nice. The wing is removed sent out for paint! Much better: Scored a C-one lip, still needs paint of course, along with a nice set of OEM side skirts! More parts from endworks (This guy has been my favorite to deal with for these cars.. by far)! Again, hood spoiler needs paint! Wing back from paint, with the emblems installed! I'll be updating as often as possible. Hope to meet some new friends through here! Thanks guys. Much better, so the rears essentially swap over? And is Using BRZ rotors in the front correct? Thanks! Basically yes. I covered it as best I could in the guide. The "hardest" part is trimming the dust shield a bit. The BRZ rotors in the front yes. They arent the ideal spec but its all we really have at the moment. Someone used Cadillac Caterra rotors but those are 5x110, I never really got full details on that Personally, I would prefer to have this Wilwood kit in the front than the GT4 brakes for a couple of different reasons. That's just my own preference though. http://store.revolutionbrake.com/14-0017c.html Comparably the 205 front swap would be cheaper but the caliper build would be a bit better on Wilwoods side. Bigger discs also by about 30mm. Less fuss to install the Wilwoods too This post has been edited by Tigawoods: Jan 11, 2017 - 12:30 PM -------------------- 1995 GT::::Diffusing the Situation エキサイティングカーレーシングチーム! march 2010 COTM : 6GC feature 2014 : january 2015-2016-2018 COTM |
