In any case I feel I have expressed wrong, what could modify without changing the original turbo (ct26) and the ECU Many thanks Well it really depends in how much power you want to get. I would say the "normal" CT26 gets up to 250-270 hp (at the crank). I say "normal" because I learned that there is also a CT26 with a larger compressor wheel (44 mm) instead of the "normal" one with about 41 mm (inducer size). This larger compressor wheel was standard on the CT26 from the supras, but there where also special edition ST185 with these bigger wheels on their CT26. With the 44 mm Compressor wheel you might be able to reach 300 hp. This would also be the limit for the injectors of your ST185. IIRC they are 440cc. So here is my list for you: - boost controller (about 1.1-1.2 bar should be good) - fuel cut defender (probably more than one possibility to do that) - better air filter and muffler - a wideband lambda sensor/gauge, that you can monitor AFR optional - upgraded fuel pump, supra pump or walbro 255 for example (to be safe, yours is probably 25 years old) - EGT sensor/gauge - bigger Downpipe - cat back system instead of only a better muffler I would call that stage 1 For anything more than that you probably need bigger injectors and a bigger turbo |
