So I'm gonna be doing some work to my st205 swapped Celica over the winter and I'm wondering how much I'd be spending to make 300hp reliably (I'm running a fwd setup). Can this be done on the stock turbo? I've heard they're unstable over 18psi. And would 300fwhp be attainable with the stock fuel system? I'm likely gonna upgrade to a fuel cell since my gas tank is leaking so I'll probably have to run a different fuel pump anyways. I'm also considering a mild cam to help up the power as well. I'm thinking about going with an aftermarket ecu as well but I imagine that would set me back quite a bit money wise. Any input would be much appreciated, I'd like to see what all you 3sgte guys are running on your builds! Thanks

3" intake and 3" exhaust, and just about 18psi should net you right about 300whp on a 3rd gen in a FWD setup, repeatable on a dynojet over and over.
been proven a few times here, and is pretty typical. both jim and dustin both made within 5-10whp with very similar setups, IIRC both have sheets posted in the dyno post thats in the FI stickys. ngo, 3rd gen has 540cc injectors. 2nd gen has 440cc injectors. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)
