Hi there everyone! Hope you are all doing well.
I'm a bit new to this website, so bare with me. If I'm doing anything wrong, just let me know. I have recently just imported a 1998 Toyota Celica, with 68,000km on the clock. I got a really good deal out of this car, as the dealership had no idea of what they had with them. The celica I purchased is a 1 in 1000 (So I have read), as it has the super rare 3S-GE redtop BEAMS engine, producing around 200hp at the flywheel (correct me if i'm wrong). I am extremely curious of this things true value, as I got this super cheap (in my opinion). To my knowledge, I've checked, and my Celica has the superstrut suspension present, the redtop BEAMS engine, the kouki headlights, ABS, vented discs, etc etc. The one thing that has been throwing some confusion my way is if this thing has an LSD or not. According to the VIN plate it has an S54-06A transmission (meaning no LSD) but it has been behaving as if it has a viscious LSD, but that's another discussion for another day. I'm extremely curious of this things true value, as there are literally no celicas with this powerplant (factory) being sold. I did see onoe page, where the listing had expired, where a celica with this engine was listed at $80,000NZD! I know, Crazy right. I may be wrong, but if so, then I am truly questioning this things value. If anyone can help with this, just let me know, I am fully willing and able to answer any questions, and post more photos (as mine are from when I first purchased the car, so they aren't that great), so be sure to let me know. Also let me know what you think the value of this thing really is. It could be worth $5000, or it could be worth $50,000. Honestly I have no idea, so your help is much appreciated. *I also posted this in the buying/selling forum as I wasn't sure whether or not this would be the right one, sorry if that was the wrong thing to do. Cheers from New Zealand. |
