I bought a 94 Celica GT last year and fell in love with the car. However, one of the things that has been annoying me is the engine seems to crap out at around 4500 – 4800 RPM. The specs for the engine I have seen have it putting out peak HP at 5400. I am going to have some engine work done and wondered if I should have this looked in to or is this par for the course.

I dont think that's really a problem, US spec 6gc's often have little to offer on the top end, unless you're gonna boost. I believe the torque pretty much gets you there, and the lack of horsepower really shows on the top end. |
