Ok I'm on the verge of buying a 94 GT or GTS but before I blow like 9 grand Canadian I need to know how much I can upgrade this beast. I'm a full time student so I dont have lots of cash but I'm good with cars and am going to do all of my own work, a few weeks ago I was considering a 2g Talon or a 95 integra but They dont have the looks of the celica. My #1 concern is performance though, so I was wondering is there any good place to start on a budget but without skimping on anything. When I was looking at Talons I came across this site

http://www.jumptronix.com/2g_go_faster/

It has a pretty good layout and I know its not done but it does a good job of explaining all of the mods and gains. I'd like to know how much power I can get out of the 6g GT with like 2 grand invested into it, I think the 3s-gte swap is out of my price range but id like to know if there is a way to get around 250 hp on my budget and Id like to know if there is a site like the 2g DSM one above for the celica that has good info on the mods and theyre effects confused.gif

Ooooooooooooook, so what kind of gain in performance can I get with like pro tune up first, a CAI, a Catback exhaust, performance clutch, (performance platinum plugs and new magnecor wires since it'll have over 90000 km ) lightened fly wheel, underdrive pullys and god willing new more agressive camshafts/adjutable cam gears. I'm not buying the 6g for its speed Im buying it for the look, the handling and the fact that in Ottawa there are like 5 of them, so I want to stand out from the crowd of civics, integras, preludes and any domestic piles of crap. I just want to be able to back up the cars looks. So any Ideas what the above will get me, Ive looked around and a stock GT should make 1/4 mile in 16.3s, i'd like to get into the low 15s high 14s, at least that way i'll have some drag cred, plus im going to use the car for autox and amateur rally so like you guys said this cars good in handling so its well suited for those. biggrin.gif
