if you used the st185 engine for the swap then you will need the st185 harness to be wired in with your stock harness (to make a hybrid mix harness). you cant just use one or the other. it wont work like that. you might be able to use almost the whole 3s harness with its stock fuse box and try to tap all you interior gauges and interior stuff into it but i dont know that for sure. it sounds like it would be the easiest way but ?????????
i put a post up in the wireing section of this site to try to help all the swapers. it pretty much tells you what wire is for what on the 3s harness. so if you know how to read the diagram and you can figure out in your car what wire is for what you can just spice into them that way. (i myself would not want to do any guessing)
i hope you did not drop the engine in you car yet!
if you already put the 3s engine into your car..... you are going to have a fun time trying to get a harness to fit onto the engine like it is supposed to!
i just did my hybrid harness 2 weeks ago and it is not hard , but it takes time and you have to be very careful not to get wires mixed up. i bought a diagram off of mike(the guy that does all the wireing swaps) that shows how to do the harness, but for what i paid for it i should have just spent the extra $ and got him do the harness. and if you are not the best person at wireing i will warn you away from trying to do it yourself.
