Ok I'm on the verge of buying a 94 GT or GTS but before I blow like 9 grand Canadian I need to know how much I can upgrade this beast. I'm a full time student so I dont have lots of cash but I'm good with cars and am going to do all of my own work, a few weeks ago I was considering a 2g Talon or a 95 integra but They dont have the looks of the celica. My #1 concern is performance though, so I was wondering is there any good place to start on a budget but without skimping on anything. When I was looking at Talons I came across this site

http://www.jumptronix.com/2g_go_faster/

It has a pretty good layout and I know its not done but it does a good job of explaining all of the mods and gains. I'd like to know how much power I can get out of the 6g GT with like 2 grand invested into it, I think the 3s-gte swap is out of my price range but id like to know if there is a way to get around 250 hp on my budget and Id like to know if there is a site like the 2g DSM one above for the celica that has good info on the mods and theyre effects confused.gif

With your budget.

Intake. 150-200
Exhaust. 250-400
Header. 200
Plugs. 40-60
Wires. 130-150
Under drive pully. 200
Aftermarket clutch. 300-400
Short shifter. 200

If you go that route and spend the max of waht I have listed you should have spent about $1810. This should give you a car worth at best 16.00. Thats atleast what I'm shooting for. This is the exact settup I have now. If I were your I would set aside another 2000 and get a set of Wisco pistins, Web cams regrinds (regrinds your stock cams for wigher lift and longer duration), Pauter rods and a good P&P.

All that should set you at around 14.5-15.0 (or so I hope)

The next step would be a turbo settup. wink.gif

(All of the above are my plans over the next year. Turbo kit is alnost 1/2 complete)

He could just save all of that money and drop in a 3S-GTE and then upgrade that with the remaining money. wink.gif If you're willing to save your money and wait, that'd probably yield more power than doing step by step upgrades to the 5S-FE.
