I have a question. I talked to a mechanic about lowering my car, and he told me that if I put springs on it I should also replace shocks, struts, ect. I'm kinda on a tight budget and I'm not looking for a racecar type ride, just a daily-mean-lookin driver. Do I need to go all out on the suspension for this? Or can I just put on some Sportlines and be done with it?

Thanks,

The mechanic is right.
It is advisable to change the shocks/struts at the same time.
If you don't do it now then you'll regret it later.

If you're on a tight budget then a reasonable deal would be KYB GR2's with Eibach Sportlines.
(Look for deals on eBay or perhaps try tirerack.com out).

I'm still riding on my stock shocks... and I'm not regretting anything...

EDIT: OH, and I lowered my ride back in 95.
