ok my windshield wipers dont work... they did earlier.....
now.... the only thing i can think of, is (a little background story): i removed my winshield washer fluid resivoir becuase it was cracked to ****. so on the bottom, i had to pull out what im assuming is the pump for it, cuz it has wires coming off and stuff. so i just tuck that up. well im driving along today, and it drops down and smacks my tire a few times, and like cracks in half (ill post a pic tomorrow). so i just figured "screw it, the pumps broken, i just wont have washer fluid. so i tuck both ends up good this time and take off. later i try turning on my wipers, they dont work... will severing the connection on that thing cause them to stop? dont see why... and if so, can i just take the wires and connect them together and bypass the pump thing? -------------------- |

Wiring and circuits are a pig!
I would guess that the pump forms part of the windsheild wipers circuit and by disconnecting the pump you have broken the circuit and nothing works. Think about, when you squirt the fluid, the wipers work automatically. Hence the assumption above. Try connecting just the pump up again (independant of/not in the resevoir) and see if the windsheild wipers work. If this works, find a safe place to put the pump and fix/zip tie it. |
