widebody kits are nice if done correctly, there's alot more to it then just a custom kit.
for example: it wont look good unless you have wide enough wheels and tires. you cant just buy wider wheels to fill in the gap, trust me from experience. you have to get custom wheel lugs, longer ones so your wheel wont pop out when your driving. this happened to a teammate of mine (lucky he was just backing out of the garage) custom wheel lugs are costly (from a good machine shop that specailizes in wheel lugs). they go for about $60 each lug. we need 20 lugs and thats $1200 for the lugs. lets just say that is just one of the many little problems that a widebody kit will bring. all and all if done right, it looks hot but if its a half ass job it looks like crap. |
