Im going to put change springs/struts/wheels next week....

I heard that I need to align the car twice (once right after the swap done, and another time 2 weeks later, when the springs break in).

What I wanna do (to save $ on the alignment), is to only align the car 2 weeks later ...and while that time, driving on my stock wheels (I dont care to rub those tires because i'll never put them back on)

my question is does that make sense and can it hurts my car suspension in some way?

Yes, it could. If you have too much toe at the front or rear and the handling characteristic of the car have dramatially changed, you might well spin the car, pile it into a tree, etc.

I have never heard of re-aligning a car after 2 weeks. If anything settles, it wouldn't be much. Definitely not enough to demand a re-alignment. Sounds to me like a greedy alignment shop is behind that rumor.

nope ive heard that from a Del Sol and Cavalier guys that have lowering springs

they told me that I need to re-align the car after couple of weeks (because the springs will "break in") and the car suspension will be affected
