So today, while I was at my body shop getting an estimate, my A/C got brought up. The owner then told me that they have a recharger. After recharging the system, we tested the A/C and it worked as it did before the swap. WOO HOO! Now I can drive my car comfortably through Cali's sweltering heat. Despite the fact that they lag, EL Prototypes does nice, clean work!

wish my a/c worked, the compressor doesn't even kick on when I press the a/c button. But I don't really want to spend $150 to buy a new one. frown.gif

There is a pressure safety switch that keeps the compressor from coming on and burning up if the freon is too low, you may just need to add a little freon.
