Your points are all correct, however I still have to disagree with you on the daily driven street cars. We really dont brake at speeds where first u have downforce applied and second when the downforce is gone to the point that you need a stabilizing spoiler.
The TT has a design flaw, thats why there was a recall. But your cars like the Camry, Altima and what not they dont need spoilers. I think only a few of the most popular cars have spoilers which are necessary. And those cars that reach speeds like that dont use spoilers for a couple reasons. First the entire design of the car is to decrease lift and create its own downforce. And secondly, spoilers just wont look good on those cars. I think its safe to say that the use of spoiler varies with the car. But i think that the usefulness compared to cosmetic use is like 30/70 with our cars. And by our cars i mean USDM.
