I was palnning on doing the 3S swap down the road and am looking to get an exhaust now. I was thinking of trying to save money and get 3" exhaust now. Course i'm worried this will just make me sound like ass and not give me the needed backpressure. So what size piping is everyone here running? Should I just go with 2.25 piping as planned?

GRRRR, If one more person says the words 'need backpressure' without prefacing them with 'You do not', I'm going to freaking go ballistic.
Let me say it again, and everybody say it with me: "You DO NOT need backpressure in a modern internal combustion engine." It has nothing to do with 4cyl, v8 etc, it has to do with cam timing and valve opening and closing events. And lastly, exhaust gas velocity doesn't mean jack after a turbo. Go as big as you can fit and afford. |
