i put 87 octane in my car.... what will i get from switching it to 93? besides about $3 more

I guess I'll be the first to jump in and clear up this MISNOMER... AGAIN... The only thing HIGHER OCTANE will do is retard detonation... It will NOT improve gas mileage, nor will it clean out your motor. As a matter of FACT, the EPA requires "that all octane grades of all brands of gasoline contain engine cleaning detergent additives to protect against the build-up of harmful levels of engine deposits." The 7A and 5S were designed to run on 87. Unless your motor is pinging and knocking, it's absolutely useless to waste money on higher octane.
