This has been posted on other celica sites but they all say to come here..:
First off, I want to know what you all think of a '96-97 celica that would be fixed up. I also want to know the limits of horsepower, torque, etc..you can push on the stock engine, and is it difficult to modify or add a turbo onto the engine?
Last question, If i wanted to supercharge it, would i use a centerfugal or positive displacement supercharger?

Thanks in advance,
AC

Another difference might the OBDI and OBDII. Forgot what years they switched over. 96+ might be OBDII.

Correct. Any USDM car after 1996 is OBD2. Not a huge problem in and of itself, with a little research, you can work around the ECU up to a point. Having an OBD2 car may change your swap options in some places if you're considering one in the future. (IE; no 3SGTE swaps unless they came from a same-year or newer car pretty much means you're out of luck.)
