Ok I'm on the verge of buying a 94 GT or GTS but before I blow like 9 grand Canadian I need to know how much I can upgrade this beast. I'm a full time student so I dont have lots of cash but I'm good with cars and am going to do all of my own work, a few weeks ago I was considering a 2g Talon or a 95 integra but They dont have the looks of the celica. My #1 concern is performance though, so I was wondering is there any good place to start on a budget but without skimping on anything. When I was looking at Talons I came across this site

http://www.jumptronix.com/2g_go_faster/

It has a pretty good layout and I know its not done but it does a good job of explaining all of the mods and gains. I'd like to know how much power I can get out of the 6g GT with like 2 grand invested into it, I think the 3s-gte swap is out of my price range but id like to know if there is a way to get around 250 hp on my budget and Id like to know if there is a site like the 2g DSM one above for the celica that has good info on the mods and theyre effects confused.gif

for a good 3sgte swap expect $4000-5000 by the time you are done.

as for the gen of the engine... try and get the 3rd gen of the 3sgte... If your really lucky try and get a R/C of the engine... really limited edition, about 2,500 made.

also try and get one out of a 6th gen it make the swap a little easier to do but a 3sgte out of a 5th gen works really good.

Also you don't really need the full clip... it helps but is not nessassary...If you want any true gains from the turbo install a front intercooler the jz22 supra one fits well into the front of the 6th gen... using a front intercooler will also allow you to use the stock hood.
