Placement of the subs in the vert is important- I tried a bunch of things. Check out my cardomain site for what I have now. It seems to work as a best compromise between sub sound and cargo room. You can have them on each side facing each other- but it will sound horrible in the seating area- they kinda cancel each other out. The best sound is one on each side facing straight forward- but it kinda wastes cargo room. So mine are slightly tilted and it works just as good. Don't forget that the positioning also determines rattle. If you have them on the sides facing each other- the rattle is HORRIBLE. Once again, the best rattle is flat against the back facing straight forward- my diagnal setup is "ok"
You're going to have to sound proof the trunk no matter what- on our verts it rattles like a biznatch. haha. The back quarter windows are also a rattle pain... but not as much. Also, something's blocking out the low low low frequencies from making it to the passenger area from the trunk.. haven't figured that out yet. Everything else gets through clear and unmuffled. |
