QUOTE (DG_Performance @ May 26, 2004 - 4:27 PM)
I had to bring this topic back cause i have been doning some thinking.
My boost at first was about 10 psi..... but i have dont some mods such as big fmic, water sprayer, 3" exhaust and my boost went up to 13psi somehow and i have not even put on a boost controller yet to turn it up????????
i was thinking of turning the boost up a little bit to about 15 ,,,and i guess i would have to make something to avoid the fuel cut.

have any of you swappers turned up the boost on you 3sgte to like 15 psi or more staying with the stock internals????

just wondering,
DG

Well Ive done some reading on this, and the first thing you want is a fuel cut defenser so you can adjust the level of boost in which fuel cut is reached, without this you could have something go wrong and over boost messing up alot of things.

As for 15psi, that is like the magic number, its said that boosting 15psi is no more dangerous then boosting at stock levels. But once you start passing that is where you may run into problems. But people on mr2oc.com have been known to run15-20+ on stock engines with no problems, its just not recommended.
