Ok so I am not surprised that my car doesnt sound the greatest at idle. I dont know if this is all celi's, but its enough to make me kind of sad that such a beautiful and well running car doesnt have that quiet graceful idle that most cars have.
Is there anything I should check? It doesnt sound like blets but it also sounds like its coming from that little thing that has the hand off symbol with the belt next to it (is that timing belt?) Any suggestions on gettin her to be a little more graceful at the idle? |

this sucks, when i bought the car from the dealer i asked my step dad if it was sposed to sound like that (kind of chattery nothing to be disgruntled about just not that purrrrrrrrrrrrrr) and he said nope
I was even more of a n00b at the time, and now Im pissed that I bought this car because I paid 3750 for it , but it needed 500 dollars of body work to get it mint and now this, i take so much pride in my car and whne im leaving somewhere and it smokes up i just kind of blush and bury my head lol. I should have found a better one BLAHHHH also I just changed the oil to high mileage oil, not synthetic, and i put some engine restore in it 2 days ago. Is it possible that that could fix it? IT just hasnt gotten through to it yet? AFter how many miles of not notcing anything should I write it off as "not doing ****" This post has been edited by brianforster: Jun 1, 2004 - 8:33 PM |
