Hey everyone,
Here recently in my Celica it won't go into 1st or 3rd gears at times and I'll be sitting at a stop light and try to go into first and it will not go... the nly way to get it in is RAMM IT HARD or turn off the car put it in gear then restart. It also is grindin in reverse almost everytime i put it in. I'm tryin to avoid goin to the shop and gett screwed on princin for them to tell me it's nothin when i know it is. If you have any knowledge what so ever please help me out. Thanks!!!

If it won't go into 1st gear don't shove it in to gear because you could really mess things up. When it doesn't go in just hold the shifter right there and don't move it back at all,just release the clutch a little and it will slide right in. Same thing goes for reverse as well. It works for me everytime. Reverse will still grind going in sometimes but it won't be as bad.

yup, just push the shifter a bit and then release the cluch a bit and it will put right into the gear. Same thing does my Corolla and Celica, sometimes they just wount go into the gear First and reverse...
