Im on a mission to restoring my car to near factory condition , as far as I can. And Im going to do a few things soon.

Plugs and Wires, and fuel filter, I think I can manage.

Can someone help with fuel filter placement and how to install a new one.

What other things would help make the car run better and smoother (idle doesnt sound too pretty as seen on the other thread)

I'm also very new to cars (can change plugs and wires pretty easily, change oil, gonna change fuel filter soon with your help)

My friend is going to help me with brakes soon.

How much do timing belt changes usually cost, Im pretty sure I'm due for one of those soon, but i know thats probably the last thing on the list cause its the most expensive.

Had all my belts done about a month ago. If your doing the timing belt get all
the others done at the same time (alternator, power steering). If I'd taken
it to a dealership the cost would have been around a grand or more, luckily my
cousin is a mechanic. Expect a minimum of 5hrs work (GT4 engine bays packed to
hell) ,if a standard GT a little less. Oh and you'll have to by a timing belt tensioner
just as a precaution if the old one is damged during removal.
