Is it possible to get around the 200hp mark with a 5S-FE engine? or would it be smarter and cheaper just to go with a 3sgte? Im asking because in wake county, nc where i live, emissions are really strict, and the pass no cars w/ not stock engines. And if i did do a swap, would this engine be fine.

The engine is under engines, then Toyota, the Celica.

BTW: im in a mechinics program, and when im out of high school (im a junior) im going to UTI. And i know basic about engines, but i've never done a swap, but me and my dad would prolly try it in our garage, and my neighbors a mech. and i could ask him to kind of point us in the right direction.

but it does have a few good points because its pistons are interchangeable with 7 rib 4A components (20mm wrist, size, etc...)

that being said, are 3sgte internals interchangable?

The 5S and 3S have slightly different bore sizes... so no... not stock parts for stock parts... but I think there are companies that make overbored pistons and such for the 3SG that should work with the 5SFE...
