Is it possible to get around the 200hp mark with a 5S-FE engine? or would it be smarter and cheaper just to go with a 3sgte? Im asking because in wake county, nc where i live, emissions are really strict, and the pass no cars w/ not stock engines. And if i did do a swap, would this engine be fine.
http://www.totaljdm.com/index.cfm The engine is under engines, then Toyota, the Celica. BTW: im in a mechinics program, and when im out of high school (im a junior) im going to UTI. And i know basic about engines, but i've never done a swap, but me and my dad would prolly try it in our garage, and my neighbors a mech. and i could ask him to kind of point us in the right direction. The 5S and 3S have slightly different bore sizes... so no... not stock parts for stock parts... but I think there are companies that make overbored pistons and such for the 3SG that should work with the 5SFE... -------------------- "It's ok to be naked girl... I'm an artist!"
