Got home today with my brand spanking new Sound System that costed me 2,300$.

Driving home, playing some Linkin Park: Reanimation in the CD player, bass hits real (like realllllll hard) hard (its already been playing for an hour), and the speakers and subs go completely dead. Nothing works except the head unit. Fuse blew or wire in the back of the head fell out? Any other suggestions. I'm hoping its one of those 2, if anyone else knows what it could be, please come forward before I stab someone in anger and frustration.

the same thing happened to me, check your inline fuse under your hood, you may need to get a better wattage one, i was blowing 40watt ones all the time, then i moved to a 60 and it hasnt gone since.

lmfao, i have 2 Rockford He2 12s and a 1000 watt rockford Punch Amp..and some asshole...put a 30 amp in my 4gauge wire that went to the amp..what a dumbass...i put a 60 in and haven't had a problem since..**** hits hard as hell and whoever said linkin park sucks...shut up, go listen to mariah carey.. tongue.gif

Thats great except for one thing, the 30amp fuse is meant for protection, unless u wanna a nice fire from your battery to ur location of ur amp, i suggest swapping out that 60amp for something more towards the specs. I believe if u goto streetwires.com they will have a chart telling u what wire guage/and fuse to use in certain applications i.e;

20foot 4guage with 300watts of power will need xxx fuse...

u get the picture... becareful with that 60 tho im serious, i worked for a car audio place in ny for a couple of years and we had dozens of people come in cuz there power wire fried there interior etc...
