C.A.I?, just some quick questions Options

Ok, I am gonna get a DR CAI.

There is aluminized steel, and aluminum. I figured aluminum is better, but a friend of mine said it would heat up more than the aluminized steel. BUT, i wonder if the aluminized will rust? Also, has anybody made their own CAI and been hapy with it, and finally, who has a DR CAI, and how do you like it?

Like igotta said, what your thinking of is a short ram intake, a CAI involves running a tube, metal or rubber, out of the engine bay away from heat. Usually a cai is placed in a wheel well or housed in the front of the bumper.
