well yesterday I decided I was tired of having pitted alloys... So I decided to do a repainting on my wheels, bought the Dupli-color wheel paint, and the clear coat to go with it. Decided to do 1 wheel to make sure i would want it for all 4... Did everything nice, sanded down the wheel, washed it well, taped it up good, did a few coats of the silver... the problem comes in with the clearcoat. i did 2 VERY thin layers of it, as stated on the can, but now my repainted wheel is very dull, and not shiny. It looks perfect except for this flaw. Now the wheel is set, and im wondering if i could take it off and respray more clear onto the wheel to get the desired shine? Anybody know if this will turn out? the silver color matces so exact to factory that I diddent even need to repaint my center cap... i just dont want to spray more clear on now and end up having it look wrinkled or have it not stick. Anybody know what I can do? ohh also, the finnish is actually quite rough compared to the other wheels. is that normal?

Maybe he means that the clear coat didn't stick like a layer...it maybe left dots without clear. That happens when you spray smoogh surfaces and the weather is not right.
