ok i've heard 3 times from ecelica people that it costs over $10000 to fabricate a 3s in a 7th gen engine bay too much modifications...of course i was crushed...but just the thought of it excites me, so now i'd like to ask the 3s pros..is it that difficult to do? are there engine shops around here that specialize in the 3sgte that could perform the actual swap?

well, look at it this way
the matrix in japan is known as the caldina there is a Caldina GT4 model which has a 3sgte pushing 260hp with an auto AWD setup the caldina is the same car as the matrix with a little different body styling the matrix comes with either a 2zz or 1zz, just like the 7gc, and since the JDM matrix has an option of a 3sgte, that means the USDM one can too, and when different cars have the same engine mounted in the same fashion, then they can recieve the same engine swaps in short, get Caldina GT4 engine mounts, that will mount in the engine, then get custom mounts for a MR2 turbo tranny(or a 5sfe tranny) a st185 swap should cost around $7k-$8k for a 7gc if you shop around -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition
