I dont want to do a 3S swap. I want to do everything myself, and Im very inclined to do so. I cant handle the wiring and extra stuff that a 3S would take so please, I ask that swappers leave their opinions out of this topic unless helpful.
This winter is nicknamed "Celica overhaul" Im going to do everything I possibly can to my Celica which means a built 5S. I know Race Motorsports makes 8.5 turbo pistons for the 5S but I'm more or less looking for a completely ported and polish, 100% done 5S block. I did a search for it once and someone posted a great link but I cant find it anymore. Any help would be great. Thanks guys. |

1b... I said crank HP not wheels. But that engine is quoted at 155 crank. And everyone with webcams along with Jim Snodgrass said that they add about 30 because of the crappy econ design of the engine. Well adding, thats 185. I'm assuming with all the others mods I listed, they could be around 15 which is a 200 N/A CRANK. Now, i'm a realistic person. Intake doesn't at 20Hp, nor does exhaust. But I dont see 200 N/A crank power being that impossible. And then 1b.... do your turbo kit how-to and BAM... cant wait to see those numbers. Edit1: PITA? sorry, never heard of this term Edit2: I looked on Jims site, the stuff I said moreorless is what he did. So this setup will probably yeild 130-150WHP.
Edit3: Please inform us of those pistons when you get it back tomorrow ![]() This post has been edited by turboinduction: Jul 12, 2004 - 3:15 PM |
