I dont want to do a 3S swap. I want to do everything myself, and Im very inclined to do so. I cant handle the wiring and extra stuff that a 3S would take so please, I ask that swappers leave their opinions out of this topic unless helpful.
This winter is nicknamed "Celica overhaul" Im going to do everything I possibly can to my Celica which means a built 5S. I know Race Motorsports makes 8.5 turbo pistons for the 5S but I'm more or less looking for a completely ported and polish, 100% done 5S block. I did a search for it once and someone posted a great link but I cant find it anymore. Any help would be great. Thanks guys. |

The turbonetics is a T3 flange if I read right. Gives us two options. Either the 3SGTE manifold with the Ct26 or the turbonetics with the T3 Hybrid. I'm not sure I'd want the kind of power, but ya never know. I did some math yesterday. The average CT26 turbo on a 5S would put it near 200 crank HP. Thats a 65% increase over stock. I'm wondering if the same power percentage stayed, then if we all built 200 N/A crank HP cars, and the turbo did its 65%... we'd all have 307HP cars. HELLO SUPRA. My dreams of a 5S fast Celica arn't too far away. |
