While my car is completely torn apart, I'm taking the opportunity to place my shock sensor for my alarm in a different location.
It was taped down with double sided trim tape to the area beneath the climate control unit. However, you could hit my car fairly hard without the alarm warning you, but my friends' exhaust systems would set it off. I adjusted and adjusted the unit, but never got it to the point where I wanted it. I've been reading up on placement, and lots of installers recommend placing the sensor on a thick harness(ignition harness, for example) or a piece of the plastic heating duct system, rather than a solid part of the car's chassis. So I'm wondering, where do all of you with alarms have your shock sensor, and does it perform well in the location that you have it? -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...
