i cant say im surprised, ive been kind of expecting it... but i am far from happy about it.
toyota has found their nitch in the market making cheap affordable reliable family cars and making affordable luxury vehicles with their lexus line as well as making some odd and out there vehicles from their scion line to try to stay a little fresh. Somehow that combo is working for them. all it is is a shift completed. ever since 94 when they dropped sales of a GT4 celica, theyve been slowly pulling out of the sports car segment. for example: 94 toyota decides to no longer sell their all-trac/GT-4 celica in the US 95 toyota discontinues their MR2 in the US, though continuing it in Japan till 98. 98 toyota drops their super car supra 2000 toyota brings back the MR2, but in a much more refined, matured MRS and now, 2004, toyota drops the last of their sport compacts, celica and MRS in favor of the Scions and solara. id say give them untill their family oriented car sales begin slipping and we'll start seeing more performance toyotas. -------------------- Believer, you'll leave her, in leaving them all No but I don't buy it Like anything you do, as anyone you are Cause I'm...
