 Whats the diff between premium and regular gas? |

this is prob already posted at celica.net but im too lazy and it takes too long to load
...so whats the difference between premium and regular gas? everyone ive talked to says that its just bs and theres no performance gain what are your opinions? |

higher octane levels are only needed on engines with high compression ratio's or forced induction to reduce detonation and pinging. there is no benefit of using higher octane on a engine that doesn't specifically require it.
